Butternut Box, a London-based startup delivering fresh food for dogs, has raised €17.4 million in a Series A funding round led by Five Seasons Ventures and White Star Capital
Existing investors Passion Capital and Literacy Capital also participated, along with debt financier Kreos Capital
The investment will fuel Butternut Box's expansion into Europe and its mission to build a leading pet wellness business
The company, founded by best friends Kevin Glynn and David Nolan, has seen significant growth since its launch in 2016, producing over 8 million meals for dogs across the UK and experiencing a 700% revenue increase last year

The company's meals are tailored to each dog's individual needs, considering breed, weight, sex, and exercise regime
The new funding will enable Butternut Box to reach more pets across the UK and Europe, offering healthy and balanced diets
Richard Flint, former chief executive of SkyBet, will join the Butternut Box board.
