Opna Secures $6.5 Million to Connect Corporates with Carbon Projects
Opna, a climate fintech startup, has raised $6.5 million (£5.2 million) in seed funding to connect corporates with carbon projects seeking financing
The platform aims to rebuild trust in voluntary carbon markets by providing tools for corporates to discover projects, facilitate financing, and manage financed climate projects
The funding will be used to increase awareness, expand project offerings, develop technology, and hire new staff
Opna believes its platform bridges the gap between corporates and carbon projects, helping them achieve their net zero commitments
The seed round was led by Atomico and included participation from previous backers Pale Blue Dot, MCJ Collective, Angelinvest, and Tiny VC.
