BGF backs drone detection firm Operational Solutions with £8m cash boost

Reading-based counter-drone company Operational Solutions Ltd (OSL) has secured £8 million in funding from BGF, a growth capital investor. The investment will be used to expand the company's recruitment program, with new roles in R&D, engineering, and business development. OSL plans to use the funding to further develop its proprietary intelligent software platform, FACE, and expand its reach in the UK and internationally.

OSL works with major international airports, national infrastructure projects, and defense markets to address the growing challenges posed by unmanned aircraft systems in airspaces around the world. They developed a proprietary intelligent software platform called FACE, powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence, to detect, track, identify and manage drones and other objects.
