Claap Raises $3 Million to Replace Back-to-Back Meetings with Asynchronous Communication
Claap, an asynchronous meeting platform, has raised $3 million (approx £2.1 million) in a pre-seed round led by LocalGlobe and Headline
The company will use the funding to develop its platform, which aims to replace back-to-back meetings with a new way to collect feedback and make decisions
Claap's platform allows employees to record short video updates on a topic, such as a product iteration, and feedback and set a due date for team members to respond
Colleagues can view the video and respond to the points in their own time
The platform also allows teams to build in a high-level context on projects by creating a central space for feedback and iterations, keeping everyone up to date on developments.
ProblemTechnology
"Constant video meetings are exhausting and inefficient, especially for remote workers. They take up too much time and make it difficult to focus on other tasks."
Solution
"Claap is an asynchronous meeting platform that allows teams to communicate and collaborate without having to be in real-time video calls. It enables people to record video updates, share feedback, and make decisions on their own time, freeing up their calendars and allowing them to work more flexibly."
