Polymateria Secures £20 Million for Biodegradable Plastic Packaging
Polymateria, a UK-based startup specializing in biodegradable plastic packaging, has secured £20 million in Series B funding led by Singapore-based fund ABC Impact and sustainable chemical company Indorama Ventures
Polymateria's plastic degrades significantly faster than traditional plastics, taking less than a year to decompose by over 90%
The company's technology is used by Twickenham Rugby Stadium and the Chicago Marathon
The funding will be used to expand into new markets, invest in its Imperial College London laboratory, and further commercialize its technology.
