Dapio Secures $3.4 Million to Launch Android-Based Tap to Pay Service
Dapio, a cashless payment solutions provider, has raised $3.4 million (£2.6 million) to launch its Android-based tap to pay service in the UK and Europe
The funding round was co-led by African fintech unicorn Flutterwave and US seed accelerator Techstars
Dapio aims to provide an affordable and accessible payment solution for smaller businesses by transforming the back of Android smartphones into contactless card reading terminals
The company plans to integrate its payment acceptance feature into existing applications of fintechs, POS vendors, banks, and telcos.
