Hadean Raises £7 Million for Cloud-First Operating System
Hadean, a London-based deep tech company, has secured £7 million in funding led by Draper Esprit
The round also includes participation from Aster, London Venture Partners, Luminous Ventures, and Entrepreneur First
Hadean has developed HadeanOS, a cloud-first operating system designed to address the limitations of traditional software architectures in scaling complex applications
The company's technology is used in various applications, including large-scale simulations and gaming
Hadean's Aether Engine, a distributed simulation engine, is being used by the Francis Crick Institute for protein-protein interaction research, while CCP Games is using it for its Aether Wars project, a 10,000-player online multiplayer battle.
ProblemTechnology
"Building scalable applications in the cloud is difficult due to outdated architectures, clunky middleware, and excessive development time. This results in complex applications, like large simulations and big data processing, struggling to scale efficiently, leading to failures, unpredictability, and increased resource consumption."
Solution
"Hadean provides HadeanOS, a cloud-first operating system that simplifies the software stack and allows developers to treat entire cloud data centers as a single computer. This eliminates engineering and DevOps overhead, enabling scalable application development for demanding tasks like simulations and data processing."
