Farewill Secures £7.5 Million to Disrupt the Death Industry
Farewill, a UK-based online will writing service, has raised £7.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Augmentum Fintech
Other investors include Taavet Hinrikus (Transferwise), Tracy Terrill (ex CTO of LegalZoom), JamJar founders, SAATCHiNVEST, dmg ventures, Kindred Capital, Tiny VC, and Venture Founders
The funding will be used to double the workforce by the end of 2019 and enhance customer support
Farewill aims to disrupt the traditional death industry by offering simple and accessible online will writing tools, reaching over 30 million people in the UK currently without a will
The company has partnerships with insurance providers like Legal & General and Aviva, and has raised £100 million in pledged income for charity partners.
