Up.co Raises £7 Million to Build 'Super App' for Hospitality and Retail
Up.co, a UK-based hospitality and retail technology startup, has secured £7 million in funding from Monzo co-founder Tom Blomfield, alcoholic drinks company Jägermeister, and previous Innocent Smoothie founders fund JamJar Investments
The funding will be used to accelerate Up.co's expansion across the UK and Europe, hire new talent, and build a "super app" that will bring together its subsidiaries, including mobile charging network ChargedUp, hand sanitising services CleanedUp, and mobile table service venture ServedUp
The company aims to create a "full-service platform" that will help people discover info, book services, order and pay while keeping their phone charged.
