Ecologi Raises £4 Million to Scale Climate Impact
Ecologi, a Bristol-based climate tech startup, has secured £4 million in funding led by General Catalyst, with participation from Entrée Capital
The investment will be used to scale up the company's team, enhance its platform, grow its climate projects procurement and reporting team, and expand its marketing and partnership teams
Ecologi aims to have a team of 40-60 people over the next 12 months
The investment will also allow the company to buy larger quantities of certified carbon offsets and tree purchases upfront, enabling better planning, access to projects that would not be possible otherwise, and potentially better prices
Ecologi was founded in 2019 by three friends from Bristol, Elliot Coad, Alex Price, and Lucy Jack, along with other co-founders
The company aims to rollback 30 years of carbon pollution by directly funding established climate solutions at scale and has set a goal to reduce 50% of global emissions by 2040.
