Maxwellia Secures €3.7 Million to Make Healthcare More Accessible
UK-based healthtech startup Maxwellia has raised €3.7 million in a Series A funding round led by Praetura Ventures
The company plans to use the funds to make prescription-only medications available over the counter in pharmacies, starting with a women's health product
Maxwellia aims to make healthcare more accessible and convenient by allowing patients to obtain treatments following a consultation with a pharmacist.
ProblemHealthcare
"limited access to medicines, people having to consult with GPs to get prescription, burden on public services"
Solution
"convert prescription-only medicines to over-the-counter versions, wider access to medication, making it easier for people to self-care and manage their own health"
