Goldex Raises €1.1 Million for its Gold Trading App
Goldex, a London-based fintech startup, has raised over €1.1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Prepaid Financial Services, with participation from business angels Gaël de Boissard, Richard Balarkas, and Craig James
Goldex's smart trading app for gold investments aims to be the 'Skyscanner of the gold trading world', discovering the best price among all gold dealers offering bids and offers within its platform
The funding will be used to enhance the app, which was launched in late July this year, and expand into different regions
Goldex was founded by Sylvia Carrasco and Fernando Ripolles, who saw an opportunity to remove barriers to retail gold trading and address unfair practices in gold investment markets.
ProblemFinancial Services
"Retail investors are often disadvantaged when buying and selling gold due to unfair practices and lack of transparency in the market."
Solution
"Goldex offers a smart trading app that aggregates bids and offers from various gold dealers, allowing users to find the best price for their gold investments. The app also provides a transparent and ethical platform for gold trading, empowering retail investors."
