WaveOptics Raises €23 Million to Expand AR Wearables Globally
WaveOptics, a UK-based augmented reality (AR) startup, has raised €23 million in a Series A funding round led by Octopus Ventures
The funding will be used to scale up business operations internationally and build WaveOptics' manufacturing supply chain to meet customer demand from Asia and US markets
WaveOptics designs and manufactures diffractive waveguides, the key optical component in wearable AR devices
The company has offices in Abington, UK, Los Angeles, Taipei, and plans to open a new office in Beijing in 2019.
