Novosound Raises €3.9 Million to Expand Ultrasound Technology
Scottish startup Novosound has secured €3.9 million in funding to expand its innovative ultrasound technology into new global markets
The round was led by Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund, with additional investment from Foresight Scottish Growth Fund and existing shareholders, including Par Equity, Kelvin Capital, Gabriel Investments, the University of the West of Scotland, and the Scottish Investment Bank
Novosound's flexible ultrasound sensors, capable of operating at high temperatures and offering high-resolution images, are primarily targeted at the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) market, enabling improved inspection of curved surfaces in aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications
The funding will support Novosound's ambitious expansion plans into global markets and new industries, leveraging Foresight's expertise in supporting early-stage technology companies and Williams' extensive experience in ultrasound NDT techniques.
