FreeFlow Technologies Raises €1.98 Million to Boost Ebike Production
FreeFlow Technologies (FFT), a Scottish ebike startup, has secured €1.98 million in funding, bringing its total raised to over €6.3 million
The funding will accelerate production of FFT's patented ebike transmission system (ETS), which is designed to be more lightweight and compact than traditional systems
The company has partnered with Twmpa Cycles and is working with over 70 cycling brands to integrate its ETS into their ebike ranges
The funding will also be used to recruit additional staff in electrical and software engineering, process engineering, and design.
ProblemTechnology Infrastructure
"The problem FFT is trying to solve is to make e-bikes more appealing by making them look and ride like normal bikes, while also providing independent bike shops with a new revenue stream."
Solution
"FFT's patented ebike transmission system (ETS) is a lightweight and compact motor and battery assembly that can be integrated into the bicycle frame, rather than being an oversized attachment. This makes the e-bike look and feel like a normal bike, and also enables bike shops to service and replace parts, providing a new revenue stream."
