Tomb Raider Creator Backs NURVV's €8.2 Million Series A for Smart Running Tech
NURVV, a UK-based startup developing smart shoe insoles and an app for real-time running coaching, has secured €8.2 million in Series A funding led by Hiro Capital, the VC firm co-founded by Tomb Raider and Games Workshop creator Ian Livingstone
The funding will be used to launch NURVV Run, the company's sports wearable product, and further research and development of its patented bio-mechanics sensor technology
NURVV's technology uses 32 sensors to capture data from the feet at 1,000 times a second per sensor, providing more accurate insights than GPS watches and helping runners improve technique, prevent injuries, and reach their full potential.
ProblemSports
"runners do not have accurate real-time data on their performance, preventing them from improving techniques and reducing risk of injury"
Solution
"NURVV Run, a smart shoe insole and app, uses 32 sensors to capture data from the feet at 1,000 times a second, providing runners with real-time insights on performance and helping them improve technique and prevent injury"
