Currencycloud Raises €72.5 Million to Fuel Cross-Border Payments Growth
Currencycloud, a London-based fintech company specializing in embedded B2B cross-border payments, has secured €72.5 million in funding
The round was led by Visa, with participation from International Finance Corporation, BNP Paribas, SBI Group, Siam Commercial Bank, and existing investors Sapphire Ventures, Notion Capital, GV, Accomplice, and Anthemis
Currencycloud plans to use the new capital to expand its portfolio of emerging payment methods and develop its partner ecosystem
The company will also be adding integration with major software platforms and adding alternate payment methods such as mobile wallets, instant payments, and cards.
