Nu Quantum Secures £2.1M Seed Funding to Advance Quantum Photonics Technology
Cambridge-based quantum photonics company Nu Quantum has raised £2.1 million in seed funding
The round was led by Amadeus Capital Partners, with participation from Ahren Innovation Capital, IQ Capital, Cambridge Enterprise, Martlet Capital, and Seraphim Capital
The funding will be used to establish a state-of-the-art photonics lab in Cambridge and support the company's recruitment efforts
Nu Quantum's technology has applications in quantum cryptography and simulation.
ProblemTechnology
"Enabling the potential of quantum mechanics using quantum photonics hardware."
Solution
"Generating random numbers extracted from quantum-level effects, giving the highest confidence in the quality of these numbers, which are ubiquitously used as cryptographic keys to secure data."
