FuroSystems Raises £750,000 for Its Next Generation of E-Bikes
FuroSystems, a British e-bike manufacturer, has raised £750,000 in its first venture funding round from TSP Ventures, ClearlySo, and angel investors
The company is known for its lightweight bikes that can be pedaled like normal bikes when not using the electric motor
They also have a folding e-bike, the Furo X, which is one of the lightest in the world, weighing just 15 kg
FuroSystems has seen demand surge since the coronavirus lockdown, with year-on-year sales up fivefold
The company plans to use the funding to invest in R&D to create its next line of products.
ProblemTechnology
"Commuters are seeking cleaner, healthier transport options, and traditional bikes are often too strenuous for long distances. Existing e-bikes are often bulky, expensive, or lack the performance for everyday use."
Solution
"FuroSystems builds lightweight, high-performance e-bikes and e-scooters with a focus on affordability and user-friendliness, offering a compelling alternative to traditional bikes and cars."
