Currencycloud Raises £32 Million in Series E Funding Led by Goldman Sachs

  • Currencycloud, a London-based provider of cross-border payments, has closed the first part of its Series E funding round

  • The round totals just shy of £32 million in new shares issued

  • Sources indicate Goldman Sachs is leading the round with existing investor GV (previously Google Ventures) and Spanish bank Santander, via its venture arm Santander InnoVentures, also participating

  • Currencycloud's API is used by fintechs and larger companies including Visa, Starling Bank, Standard Bank South Africa, Travelex, and Klarna to facilitate international money transfers
