Currencycloud Raises £32 Million in Series E Funding Led by Goldman Sachs
Currencycloud, a London-based provider of cross-border payments, has closed the first part of its Series E funding round
The round totals just shy of £32 million in new shares issued
Sources indicate Goldman Sachs is leading the round with existing investor GV (previously Google Ventures) and Spanish bank Santander, via its venture arm Santander InnoVentures, also participating
Currencycloud's API is used by fintechs and larger companies including Visa, Starling Bank, Standard Bank South Africa, Travelex, and Klarna to facilitate international money transfers
The company has processed over $50bn in transfers, sending money to over 180 countries.
