SeedLegals Raises $4 Million to Automate Startup Fundraisings
SeedLegals, a legal technology company that automates startup fundraisings, has closed a $4 million Series A round led by Index Ventures
The company, which was founded in 2017, now has 7,000 startups using its platform
SeedLegals says its platform helps companies build and negotiate term sheets, shareholder agreements, cap tables, stock option allocations, EIS approvals, hiring agreements, NDAs and more.
ProblemTechnology
"Fundraising for startups is a complex and expensive process, with lawyers charging high fees to create custom documents for each transaction. This process can take months and cost thousands of pounds, which can be a significant barrier for startups."
Solution
"SeedLegals automates the entire fundraising process, from building and negotiating term sheets to managing all related legal documents. The platform uses pre-built knowledge, deal data, and document automation to dynamically build all the outputs, replacing spreadsheets and Word docs with a database-driven platform. This makes the process faster and more affordable for startups."
