Hero Labs Raises £2.5 Million for Smart Water Leak Prevention Device
Hero Labs, a London-based startup focused on preventing water leaks in UK properties, has secured £2.5 million in seed funding led by Earthworm Group
This funding will accelerate the development of Hero Labs' first product, Sonic, an ultrasonic device that monitors water use and detects leaks
Founded by Krystian Zajac, Hero Labs aims to provide a smart leak defense system for homeowners, landlords, and businesses, potentially reducing water wastage and insurance costs.
ProblemTechnology
"Water leaks are the number one cause of property damage in the UK, costing the insurance industry £1 billion per year. These leaks waste 3 billion litres of water every day in the UK alone, which is a huge environmental problem. "
Solution
"Hero Labs has developed a smart device called Sonic that uses ultrasonic technology to monitor water usage within a property and detect leaks. Sonic uses machine learning and algorithms to understand normal water usage patterns and identify any anomalies. If a leak is detected, Sonic can automatically shut off the water supply to prevent further damage."
