Perlego Raises $9M to Expand Its Textbook Subscription Service
Perlego, a textbook subscription service, has raised $9 million in Series A funding
The round was led by Charlie Songhurst, Dedicated VC, and Thomas Leysen
Existing investors including ADV, Simon Franks, and Alex Chesterman also participated
Perlego plans to use the funding to develop its learning platform, add new features, expand content libraries in non-English languages, and enter new European markets
The service offers students and professionals access to a wide range of textbooks on a monthly subscription basis, aiming to be a more affordable and accessible alternative to traditional textbook purchases
Perlego is seeing a 116% increase in new subscribers month-on-month and has partnered with major publishers like Pearson, Wiley, and Sage.
