London Startup Cosmos Raises £2 Million for Virtual Office Platform
Cosmos, a new virtual office platform founded by Rahul Goyal and Karan Baweja, has raised £2 million in funding from investors LocalGlobe and Entrepreneur First
Cosmos aims to provide a more engaging and spontaneous experience for remote work than traditional video conferencing platforms
Users can create virtual venues with different setups and interact through avatars with video chat capabilities, allowing for collaboration and spontaneous interactions
The platform integrates with tools like Miro, Figma, and Google Docs for shared document access and features games and whiteboards
Cosmos currently has 1,000 users testing the site and is expanding its user base.
ProblemTechnology
"Remote work is becoming increasingly common, but current tools like Zoom don't allow for the spontaneity and serendipitous interactions that can happen in a physical office."
Solution
"Cosmos is a virtual office platform that allows users to create their own virtual spaces, complete with meeting rooms, desks, and even a pub or games room. Users can interact with each other through avatars, and the platform is designed to encourage spontaneous interactions and collaboration."
