Truphone Raises $71 Million for Global eSIM Services, Valued at $507 Million
Truphone, a UK startup specializing in global mobile voice and data services via eSIM technology, has raised £50 million ($65.7 million) in funding
The funding, which comes from Vollin Holdings and Minden Worldwide, two investment firms with ties to Roman Abramovich, values Truphone at £386 million ($507 million)
Truphone has been an early partner with Apple to provide eSIM-based connectivity to iPads and is now expanding its services to iPhones
The company is also working with Synopsys and Workz Group to integrate its eSIM technology into chipsets and SIM manufacturing.
