Switchee Raises £1.3 Million to Help Social Housing Landlords Tackle Fuel Poverty
Switchee, a London-based IoT startup, has raised £1.3 million in pre-Series A funding for its smart thermostat and accompanying cloud-based service
The product targets large landlords, particularly in the social housing sector, helping them tackle fuel poverty and manage their properties efficiently
The funding round was led by Fair by Design Fund, a new £15 million fund managed by Ascension Ventures and backed by Big Society Capital and Joseph Rowntree Foundation
Other investors include Contrarian Ventures and AU Capital Partners
Switchee has built its own hardware and offers a vertically integrated solution with bespoke hardware and a cloud service
The company is currently working with over 40 social landlords in the UK.
