Pusher Raises $8 Million in Series A Funding

  • Pusher, a London-based startup that provides tools and cloud infrastructure for developers to add real-time functionality to their apps, has raised $8 million in Series A funding led by Balderton Capital with participation from Heavybit

  • The funding will be used to continue building new developer products and to establish a bigger presence in the U.S., with plans to eventually set up a bigger office on the West Coast and have up to 30 people working in the U.S

  • by the end of the year

  • A significant amount will also be invested in R&D, with Pusher's own London-based engineering team being bolstered accordingly

  • Pusher currently employs 60 people and has more than 200,000 developers worldwide using its products
