Pusher Raises $8 Million in Series A Funding
Pusher, a London-based startup that provides tools and cloud infrastructure for developers to add real-time functionality to their apps, has raised $8 million in Series A funding led by Balderton Capital with participation from Heavybit
The funding will be used to continue building new developer products and to establish a bigger presence in the U.S., with plans to eventually set up a bigger office on the West Coast and have up to 30 people working in the U.S
by the end of the year
A significant amount will also be invested in R&D, with Pusher's own London-based engineering team being bolstered accordingly
Pusher currently employs 60 people and has more than 200,000 developers worldwide using its products
The company sends more than 40 billion messages per day using APIs provided by the company, connecting more than eight billion devices per month.
