SimplyCook Raises £2 Million to Boost Recipe Kit Service

  • SimplyCook, a UK-based recipe kit service that provides recipe cards and "ingredients kits" with herbs, spices, sauces, and other extras, has raised £2 million in further funding

  • Unlike other recipe kits, SimplyCook does not send fresh ingredients, aiming to complement a user's weekly grocery shopping and focus on recipe discovery and ingredient sourcing

  • The funding will be used for increased marketing spend and further investment in the company's recommendation technology and mobile app

  • SimplyCook's founder, Oli Ashness, believes the company will overtake HelloFresh's customer numbers in the UK this year.
