Babylon Health Secures $60 Million to Expand AI-Powered Healthcare App
Babylon Health, a UK-based digital healthcare startup, has raised $60 million in new funding
The company plans to use the capital to further develop its AI capabilities, including offering diagnosis by AI
Investors in the round include Sawiris, NNS holdings, Vostok New Ventures, and existing backer Kinnevik
The new funding brings Babylon's valuation to over $200 million
The company has previously raised $25 million from investors such as Investment AB Kinnevik, Hoxton Ventures, and Deepmind founders Demis Hassabis and Mustafa Suleyman
Babylon's AI-powered chatbot triage service is being trialled by a number of health authorities in London as an alternative to the NHS’s 111 telephone helpline.
