Blippar Raises $54 Million in Series D Funding
Blippar, an augmented reality search engine, has raised $54 million in Series D funding led by Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the strategic investment arm of the Government of Malaysia
Existing investors also participated in the round
Blippar has grown since its 2012 launch and now serves up AR content in real-time for a wide range of real-world objects
The company's machine learning platform allows brands to index their products, providing users with real-time information like price and availability
The new funding will be used to expand Blippar's engineering team and build out its machine learning and artificial intelligence technology.
