Rendesco Raises £6M to Expand Low-Carbon Heat Solutions
Rendesco, a clean heat network developer and owner-operator, has secured £6 million in funding to expand its operations and develop its low-carbon heat solutions
The investment was led by Clean Growth Fund, Eurazeo's Smart City fund, and Aviva Ventures, alongside existing investor Copley Point Capital
The funding will accelerate Rendesco's plans to reduce consumer energy bills, decarbonize heat at scale, and provide a low-carbon alternative to gas grid infrastructure
The investment comes as the UK is finalizing its proposals to decarbonize heat in buildings, with gas boilers set to be phased out from new homes by 2025
Rendesco's solutions provide a cost-effective and efficient way to deliver low-carbon heat, aligning with the UK's net zero targets.
ProblemRenewable Energy
"Heating buildings currently contributes to a large proportion of the UK's CO2 emissions. Replacing fossil fuel heating systems with low-carbon alternatives is crucial for achieving net zero targets."
Solution
"Rendesco provides low-cost and low-carbon ground source heat network solutions for new and existing buildings. Their technology enables households to reduce their energy bills while lowering their carbon footprint."
