Nusku Secures £1 Million for Innovative Heat Pump Technology
Nusku, a Bristol-based climate tech company, has raised £1 million in funding, including a £700,000 grant from the UK government
The company, founded in 2022, is developing air source heat pump technology that is cheaper and quicker to install than traditional heat pumps
The funding will be used to test the technology at the University of Salford's Energy House, a research and testing laboratory.
ProblemTechnology
"Heat pumps are the most efficient way to heat homes, but they’re expensive and take a long time to install, so people in the UK aren’t using them."
Solution
"Nusku is developing a new type of heat pump that is cheaper and faster to install. The system is based on air source heat pump technology and takes a few days to install, as opposed to a week. "
