OctaiPipe Raises £3.5 Million for Edge AI Platform
OctaiPipe, an end-to-end Edge AI platform for industrial IoT, has secured £3.5 million in pre-Series A funding, including a £500,000 grant from Innovate UK
OctaiPipe's platform enables users to quickly deploy and automate AI to the Edge and orchestrate and manage distributed machine learning across scalable networks of intelligent IoT devices
The funding will be used to expand OctaiPipe's team and accelerate product development
The company is currently in deployment with over 20 customers and device OEMs.
ProblemTechnology Infrastructure
"Currently, data scientists and AI engineers working in Critical Infrastructure face challenges in deploying and managing AI at the edge due to the high volume and heterogeneity of data generated by industrial IoT devices. Traditional approaches require large amounts of data to be transferred to the cloud for processing, leading to high costs, latency, and security risks."
Solution
"OctaiPipe offers a Federated Learning platform that enables users to train and deploy AI models directly on edge devices, eliminating the need to transfer data to the cloud. This approach enables faster insights, reduces costs, enhances data security, and improves system resilience by enabling continuous learning without compromising data privacy."
