Perlego, a London-based online textbook subscription service, has secured $50 million in Series B funding led by Mediahuis Ventures, with participation from Raine Ventures, Evli Growth Partners, and angel investors such as Kahoot's founders Jamie Brooker and Johan Brand through their We Are Human fund. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate its global growth, particularly in the US, and to launch new products and features. Perlego offers over 800,000 textbooks in six languages from 5,000 publishers and has attracted over 400,000 users from more than 6,000 institutions in 172 countries.
