Token, an open banking payments platform, has raised $15 million in Series B funding led by SBI Investment Co
Ltd
and Sony Innovation Fund by IGV
Existing investors Octopus Ventures, EQT Ventures, and Opera Tech Ventures also participated in the round
The company intends to use the funds to expand its business reach and development efforts
Token provides a secure and fast way for merchants, PSPs, and banking-as-a-service platforms to adopt account-to-account payments, offering Pan-European connectivity to over 3,000 banks.
