  • i6 Group, a UK-based provider of fuel management software for the aviation industry, has secured a Series A funding round of undisclosed amount

  • The backers include International Airlines Group (IAG), Shell, World Fuel Services and JetBlue Technology Ventures

  • The company plans to use the funds for market expansion and new product development

  • i6 Group provides a cloud-based, digital fuel management platform that enables fuel suppliers, airports, into-plane agents and airlines to plan, control, monitor and optimize fuelling operations

  • The platform covers the entire fuel supply chain from “refinery to wing–tip.” The technology, which also has the potential to expand to verticals in adjacent markets, such as military, logistics and retail, is now deployed at over 150 international airports.
