Acurable Secures €11 Million Series A Funding for Home Sleep Apnea Testing Device
Acurable, a UK- and Spain-based medical devices company, raised €11 million in Series A funding led by Kibo Ventures, with participation from Mundi Ventures, Kindred Capital, and Comprador Holdings
The funding will be used to expand its distribution network for its home sleep testing device AcuPebble SA100 across major European markets and North America, and invest in new product development.
ProblemHealthcare
"Diagnosing and managing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions is a complicated and time-consuming process for both patients and healthcare professionals. This is especially true for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a condition that affects millions of people worldwide."
Solution
"Acurable is developing wearable medical devices that allow patients to self-diagnose and monitor their conditions at home. The company's first product, AcuPebble SA100, is a home sleep testing device that provides fully automated diagnosis of OSA. This technology simplifies the diagnostic process and allows for more convenient and affordable monitoring of the condition."
