GeoPura Raises £56 Million for Green Energy Expansion
GeoPura, a UK-based green energy company, has secured £56 million in funding
The round was led by The UK Infrastructure Bank and Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital, with participation from existing investors GM Ventures, SWEN Capital Partners, and Siemens Energy Ventures
GeoPura develops and provides hydrogen-based zero emission fuels and power generation units, utilizing renewable energy sources to create hydrogen and convert it into electrical power at the point of use
The funding will be used to expand production capacity, grow its workforce, and increase the deployment of its power generation technology
The company's HPUs have already been supplied to a wide range of high-profile customers, including the Ministry of Defence, Balfour Beatty, National Grid, and the BBC.
ProblemRenewable Energy
"Traditional diesel generators used for power generation emit harmful emissions, contributing to air pollution and climate change."
Solution
"GeoPura provides a clean and carbon-free power generation technology solution using renewable energy to create hydrogen and hydrogen-based zero-emission fuels. This fuel is transported to locations where a local generator converts it to electrical power, replacing traditional diesel generators with a sustainable alternative."
