OpenGamma Secures Minority Investment from The Japan Exchange Group
OpenGamma, a London-based provider of derivatives risk analytics, received a minority equity investment from The Japan Exchange Group
This investment follows an earlier $13.3m round of institutional investment in October 2016, which included Accel Partners, NEX (formerly known as ICAP), Euclid Opportunities and ex-SunGard CEO Cristóbal Conde
OpenGamma will use the funds to expand operations.
ProblemFinancial Services
"Derivatives trading is complex and risky, making it difficult for users to understand the all-in costs involved. This can lead to bad decisions by both buyers and sellers. Also, derivatives can be hard to manage and understand and many firms don’t have the right systems to properly assess the risk"
Solution
"OpenGamma provides a cloud-based solution for calculating all-in risk on derivatives, making it easy for firms to manage and understand their exposures. This helps them to make better trading decisions and minimize their balance sheet usage."
