Tropic Biosciences Raises $10 Million to Advance Gene-Edited Crops
Tropic Biosciences, a UK-based company developing new plant varieties in the tropical agriculture industry using CRISPR Gene Editing, has secured $10 million in Series A funding
The round was led by Pontifax AgTech and Five Seasons Ventures, with participation from several other investors
The funds will be used to commercialize the company's non-GMO coffee and banana varieties, expand into new crop segments, drive regulatory approvals, and continue developing proprietary technologies.
