Pixion Games Secures $5.5 Million Seed Funding to Scale Fableborne
Pixion Games, a London, UK-based gaming studio, raised $5.5M in Seed funding led by Shima Capital with participation from Avalanche Foundation’s Blizzard Fund, Eldridge, Merit Circle, ReadyPlayerDAO, VGC, Zee Prime, Mechanism Capital, GSR, Misfits Gaming, and others
The company intends to use the funds to scale the development of its flagship game, Fableborne, a mobile, action role-playing game that combines strategic base building with allowing players to gather blockchain-based in-game assets
Players of the game can also compete in Pixion League, the studio’s in-app tournament system.
ProblemTechnology
"Mobile gamers are looking for engaging, short-session games that don't require huge time commitments, but still offer depth and meaningful gameplay. Existing mobile games can be too time-consuming, lack strategic depth, or have limited monetization options that don't benefit players."
Solution
"Fableborne, a mobile action RPG, provides a quick-play experience with strategic base building and blockchain-based in-game assets that allow players to earn rewards. Its in-app tournament system, Pixion League, offers competitive gameplay and further incentivizes engagement."
