InCrowd Sports Raises £1.65 Million for Mobile Fan Engagement Platform
InCrowd Sports, a UK-based mobile fan engagement and sports marketing company, has secured £1.65 million in funding
The investment, led by Albion Ventures, will be used to invest in technology to create digital sponsorship rights for clubs and leagues
InCrowd develops mobile apps for professional sports clubs, which contain real-time content, match analysis, and interactive fan games which directly engage sport's most committed fans
The company currently works with 10 football clubs including Middlesbrough and Watford.
ProblemTechnology
"Fans in crowded stadiums have poor connectivity, making it difficult to engage with content and participate in interactive experiences."
Solution
"InCrowd Sports developed a mobile app that uses a technology solution, developed by the University of Sussex, to improve connectivity in crowded places by allowing phones to share available connectivity instead of competing for it. This enables fans to access real-time content, match analysis, and interactive fan games, enhancing their overall experience."
