axial3D Secures £530k in Seed Funding to Advance 3D Printing in Healthcare
axial3D, a Belfast-based company specializing in 3D printing for healthcare, has raised a second close of its seed funding round, bringing the total to £530k
The funding will be used to further develop the company's technology, which creates precise 3D models from patient data to aid diagnosis and enhance pre-operative planning
Backers include Techstart NI, which has invested an additional £100k, and Patrick Hurst MBE, who has joined the Board of Directors as axial3D Chairperson.
ProblemHealthcare
"Doctors struggle to accurately visualise and plan for complex surgeries using traditional 2D images, leading to longer operating times and potential complications."
Solution
"axial3D generates precise 3D models from patient scans, giving doctors a detailed, interactive view of the anatomy, allowing for more accurate diagnoses and better pre-operative planning, potentially reducing surgery time and risks."
