Narchie Secures £475K Pre-Seed Funding to Launch Social Marketplace for Homeware
Narchie, a UK-based social marketplace app dedicated to homeware, raised £475K in Pre-Seed funding led by Episode 1 Ventures with participation from Simon Murdoch, Damien Lane and Adrian Lloyd
The company intends to use the funds to grow the product, engineering and community support teams
Led by Harriet Wetton, Narchie is set to launch at the end of the Summer with a waitlist of over 5,000 users
The app will enable users to create a shoppable profile that suits their individual aesthetic, listing items on a moodboard-style scrollable profile feed
The explore page will show items and posts based on what each user likes, highlighting posts from those with high engagement, and profiles similar to accounts they follow
Users can also search for specific items, sellers, styles and more, all in one place
To sell, upload and list items, the app will charge sellers a 10% fee on the total listing amount, including shipping costs.
