Runna Raises £5M to Personalize Running Coaching with AI
Runna, a UK-based running coaching app, raised £5 million in funding, bringing its total to £8 million
The round was led by JamJar, with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex, Creator Ventures, and existing investors including Joshua Patterson and Olympic athletes Steph Davis, Beth Potter, Greg O’Shea, and Alex Yee
The funding will be used to develop and train sophisticated coaching algorithms with the incorporation of AI
Runna provides a coaching app that uses advanced technology combined with real-world running and strength and conditioning plans and workouts from top running coaches to personalise the user’s experience based on their ability, goals and schedule
The app offers a range of features, including free ‘couch to 5k’ training plans, personalised plans for marathons and ultramarathons, smart treadmill control, live Apple Watch coaching and integrations with Garmin, Fitbit and COROS.
