Pragmatic Semiconductor Raises £182 Million for Expansion in the UK
Pragmatic Semiconductor, a Cambridge, UK-based world leader in flexible integrated circuits, has secured £162 million in Series D funding, with plans for a limited second close
The investment will enable the company to accelerate its expansion plans in the UK, including building its 3rd and 4th fabrication lines at its Pragmatic Park facility in Durham
Over the next 5 years, Pragmatic aims to build at least 8 manufacturing lines in the UK, creating over 500 jobs
The funding round was co-led by M&G’s Catalyst and the UK Infrastructure Bank, with participation from new investors including Northern Gritstone, Latitude and MVolution Partners, and existing investors such as British Patient Capital, Cambridge Innovation Capital and Prosperity7 Ventures.
