Saudi Industrial Investment Group Invests US$70M in Sustainable Protein Company Unibio
Unibio, a sustainable protein company based in London, UK and Roskilde, Denmark, has secured a US$70M investment from Saudi Industrial Investment Group
The investment will be paid in two tranches, with the first tranche of approximately US$25M being paid immediately
The funds will be used to roll-out new global production capacity, grow operating capabilities, and accelerate innovation and commercialization
Unibio's U-Loop® technology uses methane as feedstock to produce Uniprotein, a sustainable protein source that is efficient, stable, and independent of weather variations
Uniprotein is attracting significant global interest from feed compound companies and animal and fish farmers
The company is also developing its protein for direct human consumption.
