Eventum Orthopaedics Secures £2.5 Million in Series A for Knee Replacement Device
Eventum Orthopaedics, a UK-based medtech company developing a device for knee replacement surgery, has raised £2.5 million in Series A funding
The round was led by NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance, with participation from Mercia, Mercia's EIS funds, and private investors
The company plans to use the funds for production, sales and technical team expansion, and FDA approval in the US
Eventum's device, Quadsense, measures the forces of a patient's quadriceps muscles during surgery, allowing surgeons to position the kneecap to restore normal knee function.
ProblemHealthcare
"Enhancing the effectiveness of knee replacement surgeries by accurately balancing the quadriceps muscles to restore normal knee function."
Solution
"Eventum Orthopaedics has developed Quadsense, a device that measures the forces of a patient’s quadriceps muscles across the range of leg motions before and during surgery, enabling surgeons to position the kneecap for optimal muscle balance and functional recovery."
