Ambl Secures £1 Million Seed Funding to Expand Real-Time Venue Booking Platform
Ambl, a London-based platform that matches diners and drinkers with real-time availability, has raised £1 million in seed funding
The investment was led by industry leaders including Paul McKenna, Jon Spiteri and serial entrepreneur Mark Gordon
This is Ambl’s fourth pre-seed funding round, bringing the total investment to date to £2.3 million
The company plans to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations
Ambl has launched with 100 London-based venues, including Hawksmoor, Bob Bob Ricard, Luca, Marcus Belgravia, Mber, London Cocktail Club and The Alchemist, on a test-basis
An additional 1,300 venues are already signed-up and waiting for Ambl’s wider rollout out across London by the end of the year and the wider UK next year.
ProblemHospitality
"Booking a table at a restaurant is a pain. You have to call, check availability, and then maybe wait for a response. Then there's the hassle of figuring out which restaurant is right for you based on your needs."
Solution
"Ambl is a platform that lets you book a table at a restaurant in real-time. You can search for restaurants by your criteria, and then see which ones have availability. It's like a booking app for restaurants, but with real-time availability."
