Gentronix Secures £700,000 Funding for Expansion and New Service
Gentronix, a UK-based contract research organization specializing in genetic toxicology, has raised £700,000 in funding led by existing investor Mercia
The funding will be used to onboard and deliver a new service acquired from Merck KGaA and expand its genetic, skin, and ocular toxicology services.
ProblemHealthcare
"Companies developing new chemical or pharmaceutical products need to prove their products are safe to use and don't cause genetic mutations that could be damaging to human health and the environment. There are only a few tests in the world used for this final assessment, which makes testing expensive and slow."
Solution
"Gentronix is a contract research organization (CRO) providing these crucial toxicology tests to companies. By acquiring the Big Blue® transgenic mutation assay, Gentronix is expanding their offering to help more companies quickly demonstrate the safety of their products."
